Why Conflict?

Diane came to specialize in conflict as a result of her own experience. Having been a party to a mediation where the parties sat in separate rooms with attorneys and the mediator 'shuttled' back and forth with proposals, Diane came away with the belief that "there's got to be a better way!" This was the start of a career path that has been both rewarding and challenging, providing opportunity for learning with every client. Thank you to all of you!

Diane Adalbert

For over twenty years, Diane has partnered with various individuals and organizations to create and implement solutions that bring out the best in their people. Using Systems Theory combined with the latest industry generated techniques, she co-creates interventions that meet both short-term and long-term needs.

As a Certified Mediator, Diane works with groups and individuals to create realistic solutions for their conflicts. Making use of her knowledge of human dynamics and conflict theory, she is able to address the underlying issues that feed stubborn conflict in organizations. With over 400 hours of mediation experience, Diane is able to identify leverage points for resolution which may have gone unnoticed by the parties involved.

Diane’s degree and experience in organization development gives her a unique perspective on the challenges faced by organizations. She looks at the specific issues through the holistic lens of the organization and its history because often, a challenge for one department can have its roots in something that happened within the company many years ago. The key is to unearth just enough of the history to resolve the lingering effects as well as to move to team toward the future.

Training at the Tavistock Institute for Group Relations in England has provided Diane with a multi-cultural lens through which to work with organizations and individuals during change and conflict. Different people, companies, and geographic regions have different values, and understanding those differences is a leverage point in coming to resolution.

As a Trainer and Facilitator, Diane has used her Training Certificate from the American Society for Training and Development to design and present workshops that bring needed skills into the work environment. Her knowledge of Adult Learning Theory ensures that these workshops create the optimal learning environment for the participants and maximum ROI for the client.
